Wedding inspiration...at a romantic Scottish castle

For many couples, celebrating their wedding in a Scottish castle is the ultimate dream. All the romance and history, of a place and time, and then having such a magical setting become part of their own story.

Alexa and Ian chose the beautiful, impossibly romantic Neidpath Castle in the Scottish Borders for their marriage on the 5th November last year.

They flew over from the US and had the best of days celebrating with 30 close friends and family.

The details were planned to perfection by Laura from Wild Heart Elopements and the images of the day by Sean Bell and Justyna are off the scale wonderful with an ethereal and timeless quality. His work is cinematic, epic yet intimate at the same time.

For their wedding flowers, Alexa and Ian chose a soft and muted colour palette with blush pinks, toffee and cream with deeper burgundy tones.

We created a beautiful textural bridal bouquet for Laura plus boutonnieres and corsages for the wedding party. To decorate the castle, a floral arch and tied pew end posies for the ceremony, with vases of flowers and little bud vases dotted around various areas of the castle.

For the dinner table, an organic, loosely placed foliage and floral runner adorned a U-shaped table with lots of candlelight from simple, iron candelabra and little glasses with tealights.
